May a relationship with Him be what drives us to have faith in our Father, not our desire to have certain outcomes. Excellent. Recently, I heard someone succinctly describe these three Greek words for love. Eros, what can I receive from you. Philos, what can I share with you. Agape, what can I give you. In John 13:35, the Greek word used for love is agape. Jesus gave all so that we can have eternal life. May we be like Him and give to reveal our discipleship. Caleb went back at 85 and took on the giants and the hill country that scared off the spies when he was 40. Same tribe. Same giant tribe. Same faith. Thanks so much for sharing this. It helps us keep things in perspective when we remember we are not taking on giants on our own--we are taking them on in the name of Jesus and in His power.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14181314728663055441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321675859956566004.post-83306902875840725852014-12-07T20:39:13.777-05:002014-12-07T20:39:13.777-05:00Amen.Amen.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14181314728663055441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321675859956566004.post-68055813306079217262014-11-14T21:00:49.398-05:002014-11-14T21:00:49.398-05:00Thank you so much for sharing these thoughts. Thi...Thank you so much for sharing these thoughts. This is for real. I definitely need to remember these things too. In preparing for Sabbath School tomorrow (one of those things that makes me feel inadequate ;), I ran into the story in Acts 14 of Paul and Barnabas visiting the churches they just planted and appointing elders. Those elders didn't go to seminary (but they at least already knew Greek, I guess--ha), they didn't have any experience to be qualified. But they were recognized as leaders, prayed and fasted over, and "they entrusted them to the Lord in whom they had come to believe." The highest degree or honor that can ever be conferred upon us is to be called by God to serve wherever He sends us. The work He does through us--as inadequate as we feel--seems to be His favorite recruiting strategy as well.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14181314728663055441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321675859956566004.post-32000588818846943422014-11-09T12:36:22.797-05:002014-11-09T12:36:22.797-05:00I appreciate what you shared here, Don Keele, Jr! ...I appreciate what you shared here, Don Keele, Jr!
